The fit of a size Small it was perfect for me. I am 5ft 4inch, Medium build, 34. It is not constructed to wear a heavy sweater underneath but if you had a blouse and a lightweight sweater it would fit perfectly. The detailing of it is very nicely done. this is midweight and flexible but I think it will be warm in colder weather. I am really glad I chose to order this looking forward to wearing it a lot
