Gossett Men’s Black Double Breasted Wool Peacoat – Stylish Winter Coat

I'm 67 and wore the real thing in the service a long time ago. This isn't the heavy stuff the issue coat was made of but it's a good deal lighter, which I actually prefer at my age. Collar turns up nicely against the wind. Very pleased with it.

I usually can't do wool against my neck, it drives me crazy after an hour. This blend is soft enough that I don't notice it even with the collar flipped up. Was a little skeptical buying a coat online without trying it on but glad I took the chance.

Got it Friday, wore it out to dinner that night, then to brunch and a long walk with the dog Saturday and Sunday. Didn't want to take it off. Warm outside without making me sweat once we went indoors. Pretty great first weekend with it.

Not too heavy, not flimsy either. I can wear it all day without my shoulders feeling it, which matters because I'm on foot a lot for work. The side pockets are deep enuogh for my gloves and keys with room to spare. Pretty satisfied with this one overall.

Ordered for my boyfriend and kind of expected something thinner from the pictures. It has real weight to it and the buttons are heavy, not plasticky at all. He looks great in it and wore it out the same night.

Good coat for the price, warm, fits right and looks way more expensive than what I paid with the sale code. My only real complaint is it grabs every bit of lint and dog hair in the house. I keep a lint roller in the car now. Not a dealbreaker, pretty much every dark wool coat I've owned does it. Shoulders are cut nicely and it doesn't feel boxy on me.

Got caught in a pretty steady drizzle walking back from dinner last week and was a little worried since it's wool. Water mostly sat on the surface and once I hung it up overnight it looked totally normal again, no weird smell or shrinking. I've had cheaper coats lose their shape after one bad day. The lining is smooth so it slides on easily over a sweater too.

I drive for work so I'm in and out of the car all day. The vent in the back means it doesn't bunch up when I sit, which my last coat always did. Keeps me warm without being so bulky I can't turn the wheel. Simple, practical, does the job.
