Men's Black Real Leather Bomber Jacket – Detachable Hood

I'm a retained firefighter so I'm out of the house at all hours with no warning and no time to think about what I'm putting on. This lives by the door and gets grabbed. It's soft enough to go on over anything without a fight and warm enough for standing about at three in the morning waiting for the all clear. Six months of that and there's no wear at the cuffs or the elbows.

The knit at the cuffs has stretched slightly after four months and doesn't grip my wrist the way it did new. The body is untouched. It's the nature of ribbing rather than a fault but it will happen. Everything else is right and it was comfortable from the first wear.

I do bin collections and I'm on and off the back of a lorry from six in the morning. This is what I wear travelling in rather than on the round. It's warm the moment it's on and it doesn't restrict me at all climbing in and out. Fits my usual size over a fleece.

There's an inner flap with its own zip behind the main one and that's what stops the wind getting in at the front. It makes a bigger difference than I expected. I do both when it's cold and just the outer one otherwise. Fits my normal size and it was soft from day one.

I'm out most clear nights with a telescope, which means three or four hours standing still in a field in the dark not moving a muscle. That's a brutal test and this has passed it. Warm with the hood up, and soft enough that I'm not rustling about when I'm trying to keep steady. Fits my usual size over a jumper and it was comfortable from the very first wear.

The fleece on the hood has started to pill where it rubs against my collar, after about four months. The leather itself is untouched. It only shows when the hood is down and bunched. Worth knowing. Everything else has been very good and the fit is right.

I do the milk round in our village which is half two in the morning until about eight. Its the coldest job I've ever had and this is the first thing thats made it bearable. In and out of a float about two hundred times a night and it hasnt complained once. Fits my normal size over a jumper.

It goes over a suit jacket without crushing the shoulders, which was the specific thing I needed and the reason I sent back a slimmer one before this. Fits my usual size and it was soft from the first wear with nothing to break in.
