Men's Camel Waxed Leather Hooded Bomber Jacket

I stand on the touchline twice a week watching my lad play and that's what this gets used for. The hood is the whole reason I bought it and it does the job in drizzle without me needing an umbrella. The ribbing at the wrists keeps the cold out properly. It was rigid for about a fortnight and then gave. Five months of standing about in it and there's no wear at the cuffs or the elbows.

The cuffs are snug getting over a watch and I've had to take it off a couple of times rather than fight with it. Minor but it's a daily annoyance. Otherwise no complaints, it fits properly and broke in within about two weeks. Would still buy it.

There are more pockets on this than I know what to do with and I've genuinely lost my keys in it twice. That's not a complaint. The chest ones are handy for a phone when I'm carrying things. Fits true to my usual size and it settled after about ten days.

I fish early mornings from October onwards and needed something that copes with sitting still in the cold for hours. This does. Zipped up with the hood on it keeps the wind off and the ribbed hem stops it drafting from underneath. It took two weeks to soften and I nearly gave up in that first week.

My teenage son borrowed this once and I had to physically take it back off him. He's now asking for one for his birthday. For me its the fit through the shoulders that works, I usually have to size up and didnt here. Softened after about ten days of wear.

I work on site and this goes over a hi vis most mornings before I swap into work gear. It's taken a fair bit of abuse in the van and hasn't picked up any lasting damage. The one time something did mark it I rubbed it with my thumb and it came out. It needed two weeks or so before it stopped feeling rigid across the back. Seven months on and the only change is that it's more comfortable now.

I've had a shoulder problem for years and there's a limit to how far I can reach without something pulling. This doesn't. The ribbed hem sits at my waist so it doesn't ride up when I stretch, and the sleeves have enough room in them that nothing binds. It took about ten days to give properly. Five months on and it's still the easiest thing I own to get on and off.

I take it camping and it's earned its place. Mornings when its still frozen outside the tent I've had it zipped up over a fleece and been fine. Packs down enough to shove in the boot without worrying. Fits my usual size and gave after about a fortnight.
