I wear this three days a week and it has been through rain more than once. It beaded rather than soaking, and after a wipe and a night on a hanger there were no water marks anywhere on it, including on the white bands.

What convinced me was the construction rather than the colour. The quilting on both shoulders is evenly stitched, all four outside zips are the same gauge instead of the chest ones being thinner, and the lining runs right down to the hem. Those are the three places a jacket like this usually cuts corners and none of them have been cut here at all.

Came three days ahead of the estimate, packed flat with tissue in each sleeve and every zip taped down. No creasing and no smell. I looked at where the white meets the brown on both arms because that seam is where it would show, and it is neat.

Measurements since that is the first thing I go hunting for in any review. I am 5 foot 11, 175 pounds, 40 chest, and the medium sits close over a tee with room to lift my arms. The sleeves end at my wrist bone with the cuff zips closed. The hem band sits right at my belt. It arrived in four days in a bag inside a box with no creasing at all.

Balanced take. It is a very good jacket and I wear it most days, but two honest points for anyone deciding. The colour is genuinely ambiguous between brown and green, which some people will not want, and the cut is slim so there is no layering underneath. Neither has put me off, and the leather is well beyond what I actually paid for it.

I ordered a large first because I assumed a fitted cut would run small and it hung loose through the middle, which on this shape looks wrong rather than comfortable. Swapped for the medium and that was correct. The exchange took eight days including both legs of shipping and nobody made it difficult, but do not size up out of habit here.

Bought this one for my husband, who wanted a brown jacket but not a tan one. This one is far darker than tan, and he says that was exactly the difference he had been after.

Two chest zips and two at the hips, all four lined and all four working. The hip pockets are deep and set vertically so nothing falls out when I sit down in the car. The chest ones are shallower but take a card and a key.
