    Product Details

Less is more with this navy blue wool blend overcoat. The mandarin neck and hidden button closure give the front a streamlined, tailored finish that lets the rich navy fabric do the talking. Functional cuff buttons add a subtle mark of quality, and four pockets — two outer, two inside — keep essentials close without breaking the silhouette.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    1. What is the exact wool percentage in this coat?

This coat is crafted from a 65% wool / 35% polyester blend, designed to provide warmth while enhancing durability and long-term shape retention.

    2. Where is this coat manufactured?

Our coats are produced in specialised outerwear workshops in South Asia, where skilled teams ensure precise stitching, clean lining construction, and strong button reinforcement.

    3. Is this coat warm enough for winter?

Yes. Our High-Density Wool Blend is made to retain heat while remaining breathable. It’s ideal for everyday winter wear and layers well over sweaters for colder temperatures.

    4. How do I choose the right size using your size chart?

Use the Chest/Bust measurement as your primary reference. Measure around the fullest part of your chest and match it with the chart. If you're between sizes, opt for the larger size for comfort.

    5. Why are your prices so low?

We operate on a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) model. Most retail coats carry 3–4x markups to cover middlemen, wholesale margins, store overhead, and costly retail operations. By working directly with our workshop partners and shipping directly to you, we keep costs lean and pass the savings to you. The result is a coat built like a 400 retail piece, priced under 200.

      Said it would not suit
      Cressida Ravenhill

      Verified buyer

My husband has spent thirty years insisting he does not suit a long coat, which I have always thought was rubbish. Ordered this without discussing it. He has worn it every working day since November and has not mentioned the previous position once.

      Front is completely plain
      Peverell Stanhope

      Verified buyer

Not a single button shows on the front. They sit behind a flap so the whole thing closes as an unbroken line of cloth from the collar to the hem. It is the reason the coat looks like it cost several times what I paid, and I had not appreciated how much visible buttons date a coat.

      Over a suit every day
      Callixtus Vane

      Verified buyer

Over a suit five days a week since October. The shoulders sit over a jacket without pulling, the sleeves cover a shirt cuff, and the suit jacket is entirely hidden rather than peeking out at the bottom. It comes off in one movement at the door, which matters when you are doing it four times a day.

      Vent earns its place
      Ellery Whitcombe

      Verified buyer

The split at the back makes a bigger difference on a coat this long than I would have guessed. You can take proper stairs two at a time without the hem pulling across your legs, and getting in and out of a car is a normal action rather than a manoeuvre. My last long coat had no vent and I gave up on it.

      Arrived on a hanger
      Lachlan

      Verified buyer

Came in a proper garment bag rather than folded into a box, so there was nothing to press out and no creases across the back. Straight onto a hanger in the hall and worn that same evening.

      5
      Over the arm fine
      Auberon Kingscote

      Verified buyer

Carried it over one arm through a long wait at a station and it did not come out looking mangled at all. Folds along the shoulder seam and stays folded rather than sliding about. Back on and it looked like it had been hanging up.

      5
      Navy rather than black
      Marmaduke Rowsell

      Verified buyer

Went round the houses on navy against black for weeks. Black on a coat this length reads as either a chauffeur or a funeral director and there is not much room in between. Navy does everything black would and none of the associations come with it, and in daylight the blue is obvious enough to look like a choice.

      5
      Size chart was honest
      Ercole

      Verified buyer

Took my normal size and it is right over a suit jacket with a little room and right over a jumper without being loose. That balance is hard to hit and the chart on the page was accurate rather than optimistic. Nothing to alter and nothing to send back, which is a first for me latley.

      How it handles rain
      Merrick Talgarth

      Verified buyer

Caught out in genuinely heavy rain twice now and both times it went dark at the shoulders and through the upper back within about fifteen minutes, which is what wool does. Both times it dried on a hanger overnight with no tide marks and no shrinkage. Light rain sits on the surface and shakes off at the door. I would not choose it as a wet weather coat.

      Mistaken for a designer
      Fitzwilliam Cardew

      Verified buyer

Two people have asked me which brand it is and one of them named a house that charges about twelve times what I paid. I did not correct him at any length. I think it is the hidden closure doing the work, because the eye has nothing to catch on and the shape is the only thing to look at. There is nothing about it that gives away where it came from.

      Bought after a promotion
      Thaddeus Ollerenshaw

      Verified buyer

Bought it for myself after a promotion I had waited a long time for, which is not something I usually do. It felt slightly ridiculous at the time and it does not now. Every morning I put it on and it is a small reminder of a good year, and it has been worn more than anything else I own.

      5
      Proper full length
      Ozias

      Verified buyer

Comes down to just below the knee on me at five foot eleven, which is proper overcoat length rather than the slightly apologetic version most places sell now. It covers a suit jacket with room to spare and it covers the back of your legs when the wind is behind you. Anything shorter and you are wearing a long jacket rather than a coat, and the whole point of buying one of these is the length.

      Nothing to put up with
      Octavian Redmayne

      Verified buyer

I have owned three long coats before this one and every single one of them had something about it I put up with. A collar that never sat right, buttons that pulled, a length that was almost correct. This is the first one with nothing on that list. I have stopped noticing it, which after years of small irritations is the highest praise I have got.

      Arrive at events in it
      Ptolemy Ashworth

      Verified buyer

I speak at events several times a year and I arrive in this now. It travels well, it goes over whatever I am wearing underneath, and it comes off without disturbing anything. There is also something about a plain front that photographs cleanly, which matters when somebody is taking pictures at the door and you have no control over which one they use. It has quietly become part of how I turn up to those things.

      Brushes up easily
      Aurelian

      Verified buyer

Stiff brush once a fortnight and it looks new. Nothing sticks to it the way things stick to a coarser cloth. Has not needed a proper clean in a whole season of daily wear, which suprised me.
