Men’s Black Velvet Double-Breasted Tuxedo Jacket — Peak Lapel

Winter wedding, evening reception, invitation said formal. I wanted something a step past the standard dinner jacket without looking like I was trying to upstage the groom. This hit the mark. The velvet is heavy enough that I was comfortable walking between the chapel and the reception in the cold, though once the dancing started I took it off for a while because the room got warm. Several guests asked about it.

Needed something for a New Year's Eve party that wasn't the same old suit. The velvet has this soft sheen that the camera loves, every flash photo looked expensive. Buttoned up it sits flat across the chest, which surprised me since double breasted usually pulls on me. Very happy.

Looks fantastic and feels great to the touch. My only note is that velvet holds heat, so inside a packed ballroom I was warm by the second hour. Outside in December it was perfect though. Fit through the shoulders was spot on and the jacket arrived well packed with only minor creases.

Very nice jacket overall. Rich velvet, clean satin lapels, good structure in the shoulder. One of the six covered buttons was a little loose on arrival so I put a couple of stitches in it myself. Five minute job, but worth mentioning. Wore it to a gala and felt great.

Took a bit longer to arrive than the estimate, which had me sweating since I needed it for a company holiday party. It showed up two days before, so no harm done. The jacket itself is great. Velvet feels expensive, shoulders are structured without being boxy, and the jetted pockets have a neat satin edge. Took one star off for the wait, otherwise I'd give it full marks.

Wore it as a guest at a December wedding and alot of people commented, including the groom's dad. I kept it simple underneath with a crisp shirt and bow tie. Shoulders hold their shape and it never looked rumpled even after hours of dancing. Super comfortable and warm outside too.

I bought this for my son as a Christmas present because he has a few formal events every December. He tried it on Christmas morning over his pyjamas and refused to take it off. Later he wore it properly with trousers and a bow tie to a gala and the photos were lovely.

Bought this for my dad to wear at my wedding in January. He looked so handsome and said it kept him cosy during the outdoor photos. Thank you for the fast delivery before the big day.
