Womens 3/4 Length Camel Brown Double Breasted Wool Coat

Had the navy one since last autumn and liked it enough to come back for this. Same cut, same length, same fit, so I did not have to think about the size at all. They wear completely differently which is why owning both is not as daft as it sounds.

Caught it in a sale and paid less for it than I have paid for a jumper before now. Have worn it more days than not since October and it owes me nothing. Nothing else to say really.

Ordered a second one for a friend who admired mine and then did nothing about it for three months, which is very her. Same size as me and it fitted. She has since sent me a picture of herself in it, unprompted.

Ordered on the Tuesday and it was here on the Friday, exactly as the page had said it would be. Box was undamaged, the coat was folded with tissue and there was nothing to press out.

Bought it for my sons graduation because the forecast was awful and I did not want to spend the day cold in something thin. Kept it on through the outdoor part and took it off inside without the dress underneath looking sat on. Did the job.

Goes over jeans, over a dress, over work trousers and over a jumper and it looks intentional every time. That is the argument for a neutral in a light shade and it is why I stopped looking at anything with a pattern on it. One coat, all week.

Everything I own is black, charcoal or navy and has been for about twenty years, so this is the only thing in the hall with any warmth to it. The odd part is that it has made the rest of the wardrobe look better rather than showing it up. One light coat over all that dark and suddenly none of it looks like a uniform. I did not expect one purchase to do that.

Wore it to the theatre twice over Christmas and it was right both times. Smart enough for the interval without being the sort of coat you have to fuss over, and it goes over a dress without crushing the shoulders of it. Handed it in at the cloakroom and it came back fine.
