Never bought clothes for anyone in my life and my wife talked me into getting this for her sister at Christmas on the basis that a loose fit is harder to get wrong than a close one, which turned out to be sound advice. It fitted. She wore it on Boxing Day and again when we saw her in February. My wife has taken all the credit for it in front of the family.

Wear it with jeans and white trainers most weekends and it works without looking like I have half changed out of work clothes. That was the test for me. It passed.

Wide enough to balance out the width of the rest of it, which matters on a shape this loose because narrow lapels would make the whole thing look off. They sit flat and they have not curled at the points after a season. Small detail but it is the sort that decides whether something looks considered or thrown together.

When a listing says relaxed it usually means it has an extra inch somewhere and is otherwise the same as everything else. This is genuinely loose. It hangs away from the body, the shoulders sit wide, and there is real room through the arms. If that is what you are after it delivers it, and if it is not you will want something else entirely because taking it in would change the whole character of it. I wanted exactly this.

Bought it for the office and it has ended up being what I wear at weekends instead. Something about how loose it is makes it read as casual, so it never quite worked with the trousers I wear in during the week. Over jeans and a t shirt on a Saturday it is perfect. I am not complaining because I wear it more this way than I would have the other. Definately glad I ordered it.

I should have read the description more carefully. I wanted something tailored and close and this is the opposite of that by design. It is well made, the fabric is lovely and there is nothing wrong with it, it is just not what I had in my head from the photographs. I have kept it and I do wear it, but I wear it as a light coat rather than as a blazer and that was not the plan.

I have spent years buying mens jackets in small sizes to get this shape and then living with sleeves that are too long and a back that is too broad. This gives you the same look with the proportions actually cut for a woman. The shoulders are wide but they are in the right place, and the sleeves end where my wrists are. It is the first time I have had the look without the compromise.

Only one side actually fastens and the other row of buttons is there for the look, which is normal for this style but caught me out for a minute when I first put it on. Once you know, it is fine. They are all sewn on properly and none of them have loosened.
