Women's Red Double-Breasted Wool Blazer – Peak Lapel

Had it on from eight in the morning until late in the evening, through a commute, a full day at a desk and dinner afterwards, and it looked the same at the end as it did at the start. No creasing across the back from sitting, no sagging at the front. That is the thing I actually care about with anything tailored and it is where most of them fall down.

The metal on the front is properly finished, not the thin painted stuff that chips after a month. Weighted too, you can feel it when you do them up. Little things like that make the whole thing look like it cost a lot more than it did. Definately pleased.

I am quite short and this sits lower on me than it does on the model, which makes it read a little heavier than I wanted. It is not badly made, it just does not suit my proportions as well as I hoped. I had the sleeves shortened and that helped a lot. I have kept it and I do wear it, but I would say try it on and look in a full length mirror before you decide.

Went out for a friends birthday and wore this instead of the usual and it completely changed the outfit. Kept it on all night indoors without getting too warm, which I was not expecting. Ended up in three or four photos and it looks good in all of them, which is not something I can say about most things I own. Already planning what to wear it with next.

Goes over a fine knit no problem but anything thicker and it pulls across the upper back when you fasten it. I wear it open in that case which is fine. Worth thinking about if you plan to use it as your main layer through the colder months.

Thought this would be an occasional thing and instead it has become what I put on without thinking. Office, lunches, picking the car up from the garage. Three weeks in and I have worn it more than anything else I bought this year.

Bought this as an anniversary present and got the size right for once, mainly by checking the label in something she already owns. She has worn it four or five times in a fortnight. I am told the fit through the body is the best part.

Had three days of standing up in front of people and wanted something I would not have to think about once. It did not crease sitting on a train, it did not need pressing in the hotel, and I felt put together every morning which matters more than I would like to admit. Two people asked me about it over the course of the week. Has come out plenty of times since.
