Men's Black Pebbled Leather Bubble Bomber Jacket

The reason I picked a bomber over a straight hem jacket is the knit waistband, it stops the whole thing riding up when I sit down in the car. Three months in and the ribbing has not gone slack anywhere on it.

I wanted a bomber shape without the usual nylon look, and the washed black leather does exactly that. The knit cuffs and waistband give it the proper silhouette while the shirt collar keeps it from looking sporty. Five months of wear and the ribbing has held its stretch, the leather has softened across the shoulders, and the zip has never once caught on its way up.

Sizing was true for me at a 42 chest with the large. There is room for a jumper underneath without the zip straining. Sleeves reach the wrist with the knit cuff sitting where it should rather than halfway up my forearm.

My son borrowed it for a weekend away and came back asking where it was from, so there are now two in the house. Both fit the same way in different sizes, which tells me the grading is done properly across the range. He has since pointed out that the knit cuffs are the reason it works on a motorbike pillion, which is not something I had considered at all.

Practical rundown because that is what I look for. It weighs somewhere around three pounds. Two flap pockets outside with buttons, one inside pocket, no chest pockets at all. The lining is smooth so it slides over a shirt without dragging. The zip runs from the waistband to the collar in one clean pull. Nothing on it is decorative and that was rather the point for me.

The washed leather has a pebbled texture rather than a flat smooth surface. Up close you can see the grain shift across the panels. That is what stops black leather looking like plastic, and it is the main reason I kept it.

Arrived two days early, packed in a bag inside a box, no creasing that did not drop out overnight. No chemical smell either, just leather. I checked the lining seams because of a bad purchase elsewhere and they are stitched right round.

Zip pull is plain metal with no branding on it, which I appreciate more than I expected. Runs the full length without catching. Leather is thicker than the photos suggest.
