Men's Olive Green Leather Jacket With Removable Hood

Ordered this for my husband who wanted something casual after a run of smart jackets. The hood tipped it for him. He has worn it walking the dog every morning since it arrived, and he says it is a good deal warmer than he had expected it to be.

My husband is short in the body and most bombers sit too high on him, leaving a gap above his belt. This one has the waistband landing right where it should and the sleeves needed nothing taken up. The hood also means he has stopped carrying a cap around with him everywhere, which he had been doing for years and which drove me slightly mad.

Bought this for my son who wanted a hood but not another hoodie. He has worn it to college every day for a fortnight now and has not complained once.

One honest note. The grey hood collects a bit of lint and shows it more than the leather does. A clothes brush sorts it out in a few seconds and it is hardly a hardship. Everything else has been exactly what I wanted from a casual jacket.

Bought in a sale and it is better made than a hooded jacket my son had before at a similar price. The leather is real with proper grain, the ribbing is thick, and the jersey hood is a decent weight rather than something thin.

Flap pockets at the hips are patch style rather than set in, so they hold more than you would think. Good for a phone and keys without either of them sagging the front out.

This has become the jacket I grab for anything that is not work. School run, the shops, one gig, a long walk in weather that turned halfway through. The hood is why it covers all of that, because it means I do not have to think about whether to take something else. Six months in and the ribbing is as tight as it was.

My partner had been describing a jacket exactly like this for ages, right down to wanting the hood in a contrasting colour rather than matching leather. He has barely taken it off since it turned up. The part he keeps pointing at is the second zip behind the leather one, which he says is the reason it looks layered without him having to layer anything.
