Men's Blue Waxed Leather Biker Style Jacket With White Stripes

My son wears this to college and says it is the only jacket he owns that people ask about. He also says the collar snap means nothing flaps when he cycles in. It arrived within the week and fit him first time from the chart.

This has become the jacket I put on for anything where I want to look like I made an effort without wearing a blazer. Dinners, the pub, one gig. The navy is what makes that possible, because black would have read as too severe and any lighter blue would have read as fancy dress. Six months in and nothing on it has come loose.

I ordered a large first because I thought a fitted jacket would run small and it hung loose through the middle, which on this shape just looks wrong. Swapped for the medium and that was right. The exchange took eight days including both legs of shipping and nobody made it awkward, but do not size up out of habit with this cut.

Five months of wear, three or four days a week. The navy has not faded at the shoulders, the white bands are still bright, and all four zips run smoothly. Nothing has pulled at the seams where the stripes are stitched into the sleeves.

One thing worth flagging. The navy reads almost black in low light, so if the whole point is that people can see it is blue, you may be slightly disappointed in the evenings. In daylight it is unmistakable and that is when I mostly wear it.

Four outside zips, all of them lined and all of them functional. The hip pockets are deep and set vertically so they stay closed when I sit down. The chest ones are shallow but they hold a card and a key without any trouble.

Everything on the front zips. Two at the chest, two at the hips, and the cuffs as well. Nothing has fallen out of any of them since the day I got it.

Fair rather than glowing. My husband loves it and it is well made, but two things are worth saying before anyone orders. The stripes are bold, so this is not a jacket for someone who wants to blend in, and the navy is dark enough that indoors it reads as black. Beyond those it is better value than anything comparable we looked at.
