Men's Double Breasted Black Leather Blazer

Ordered it for my son who is in a job where everyone wears suits and he wanted something that was not one. He has had four separate people ask him about it. The chart was accurate so I got the size right on the first try.

My husband ordered this after his old leather jacket started looking dated and he wanted something he could wear to client meetings. He has since had two colleagues ask where it came from. The detail he keeps mentioning is that the lapels hold their roll rather than flattening out over time, which apparently his old jacket never managed to do after the first few months.

My brother and my husband now both own this after one saw the other in it at a family lunch, which is either a compliment or a problem depending on who you ask. They are different builds and different sizes and it hangs the same way on both, which says the grading is done properly. Neither has needed a tailor to touch it.

I am short in the leg and long in the body, which means most blazers finish somewhere awkward on me. This one sits just below the belt rather than mid thigh, which is exactly right for a leather blazer. The sleeves needed nothing taken up and the shoulders sat where they should without any adjustment from a tailor at all.

Present for my brother who is hard to buy for and has opinions about clothes. He put it on and immediately did the buttons up, which he does not do with anything. It arrived two days ahead of when they said it would.

This has quietly replaced my wool blazer for anything in the evening. It goes over a shirt for dinners, over a fine knit for the theatre, and over a plain tee when I want it to read as casual. The double breasted front is what makes that last one work, because it stops the whole thing looking like half a suit. Six months and nothing has come loose.

The welt pockets at the hip are jetted rather than patch pockets, so the front stays clean and there is nothing to bulge. They are deep enough for a phone though I tend not to fill them because it spoils the line.

Sizing came out true for me at a 40 chest with the medium. Buttoned there is room to move but it is definitely fitted, and worn open it falls straight without flaring. The sleeves ended at my wrist bone with nothing to take up.
