Women's Cropped Purple Leather Jacket

This has quietly become my favourite thing to wear. Over a black polo it looks sharp, over a white tee it looks easy, and with a dress it looks deliberate. The cropped shape stops it competing with whatever is underneath. Nearly six months of regular use and the only change is a softening at the elbows, which rather suits it.

The collar sits flat and neat rather than standing up, which makes it feel less like a biker jacket and more like something you could wear to an office on a relaxed day. I did not expect that from the pictures at all.

I ordered a size up first because I wanted room for a sweater and it looked wrong, too boxy for a cropped shape. Returned it, got my usual size, and that was the answer. The exchange took about a week with no argument from anyone. Lesson learned, do not size up on this one, it is meant to sit close to you.

Second thing I have ordered here and both arrived faster than the estimate said. Same clean stitching and the same fit through the arms as before. The shade is lovely in person too.

I wore this to a concert and again to a work lunch in the same week, which tells you it is not as loud as the colour suggests. The cut is clean and simple so the colour does all the talking. Nobody has said anything unkind about it.

Wore it travelling for a long weekend and it packed flat enough to sit in the top of my case. Came out with a couple of creases that dropped out in a day. For something cropped it takes up very little room in a bag.

I was nervous about ordering a strong colour online because screens lie, and I have sent things back for exactly that reason before. This came out of the bag looking better than the listing. Deeper, less pink, more like a good red wine. It fits the way the measurements said it would and I have not had a single thing go wrong in four months.

I have wanted a coloured leather jacket for years and always chickened out at the last moment. This is the right kind of purple, dark and slightly wine coloured rather than bright, so it does not look like fancy dress. It goes with almost everything black I own.
