Women's Single Button Black Belted Leather Blazer

Fit note for anyone between sizes. I am a solid ten on top and an eight below, and the ten fit properly through the shoulders and bust with a bit of ease at the hip, which I do not mind. Shoulders are the bit you cannot fix later.

Took it away for four days and it was the only outer layer I brought with me. Cool mornings, warmer afternoons, it worked for both because I could just unbutton it. Came home with nothing that needed pressing. I would pack it again without thinking.

Bought after seeing one on a colleague and asking her outright where it was from. Mine is the same size as hers and fits the same way, so the sizing is at least consistent. She has had hers for over a year and it still looks new on her.

Bought it during a sale without much hope and it turned out better than two jackets I paid a lot more for elsewhere. The collar sits up on its own, the button does not strain across the front, and it has not lost its shape after heavy wear.

Nearly a year of her wearing this most weeks and there is nothing that needs fixing. No loose threads, the button is as tight as it was, the lining has not torn at the arm which is where every other jacket she owned has failed. It has softened and moulded a bit to how she stands, which is the thing you actually want from leather.

Arrived in three days, well boxed, and with no odd chemical smell. Tried it on with work trousers and it looked like it belonged there. Have not taken it off much since.

Got it for my sister's fortieth and she has since sent me photos of it with about four different outfits. She is not usually one for leather so I was taking a risk with it. Apparently it is the fit that won her over rather than anything else.

Wore it to a gallery thing where I knew nobody and felt properly dressed the whole night. That is worth something. Leather is soft, no creak, no stiffness anywhere when I move.
