Got him one for his birthday because he had admired mine at Christmas and then done nothing about it for four months, which is very him. Same size as me and it fitted. He has since sent me a photograph of himself wearing it, unprompted, which has never happened before.

Liked this enough that I went back about six weeks later and got the charcoal one, which is the same idea with buttons instead of the zip. Sizing was identical between the two so I did not have to think about it. Between them I have got the whole autumn covered and I alternate them week to week. If you are wondering whether it is worth having two, the honest answer is that they wear differently enough to justify it.

Discovered by accident that it goes under a bigger coat without any bulk, because the collar is flat and there are no lapels to double up. Being honest, a light shade in a wool blend is going to pick things up and this does. Dark trousers leave a faint transfer on the inside of the front edges, and anything you brush past shows more than it would on a dark jacket. None of it is permanent and a brush sorts most of it, but you will be brushing it more often than you would something dark. Worth knowing before you order.

Three months in and I have found nothing to report. No loose threads, zip still runs clean, poppers all holding. Worn it constantly and it looks the same as the day it came.
