Women's Purple Real Leather Biker Jacket – Removable Hood

The hood coming off is the reason I bought this rather than anything else. With it on it's what I wear at weekends and on the school pickup, and with it off it's smart enough that I've worn it to work meetings without anyone raising an eyebrow. It's effectively two things. It was soft from the very first day with nothing to break in. Five months on and neither part has worn or faded differently.

Fit me first try and it arrived in three days. Soft immediately with nothing at all to break in. Worn it more days than not since it came and no issues.

I'm a driving instructor and I'm in and out of a car about fifteen times a day, plus standing on pavements waiting for pupils. This has been ideal because it doesn't bunch behind me in a seat and the hood goes on when I'm outside and comes off when I'm not. It was soft straight away rather than needing wearing in. Five months of that and there's no wear at the elbows where I'm resting them constantly.

I do a Saturday shift at a charity shop and we're in and out of the back yard sorting donations all morning, so I'm forever taking it on and off. The zip runs cleanly every time, which after five months of that much use is the thing I'd have expected to go first. It's soft, it's light and it doesn't get in the way when I'm lifting boxes. The hood lives in my bag most of the time.

I asked before ordering whether the hood was included or whether it was an extra, because the photos weren't clear to me. Someone came back within the hour confirming it comes with it. Straight answer and it saved me guessing. Fits my usual size and was soft from day one.

The hood is a different material to the rest and I do think it'll show wear sooner, it's already slightly bobbled at the edge where it rubs my collar. Six months in. The rest of it is untouched. Not enough to mark it down further because I can always wear it without.

My husband has the men's version of something very similar and we didnt plan that at all, we just both ended up here. His took longer to soften than mine did. Mine was comfortable from the first day. Fits my usual size and Ive worn it constantly for three months.

The cords on the hood tuck away inside rather than dangling, which is the specific thing that annoyed me about the last one I owned. Small detail and it's why I stopped looking. Fits my normal size and it was soft from the first day.
